We do blood tests at the surgery to help check your health, monitor medicines, or find out more when you are unwell.

Some blood are requested by hospital teams. This page explains which tests we can do at Foundry, how to book hospital-requested blood tests and what to do in urgent cases.

We can do blood tests if they are requested by our clinicians.

This includes tests for:

• Routine check-ups
• Medication reviews
• Checking your health when you are unwell

You will be told if you need a blood test after an appointment with our team. Our reception team will help you book a slot.

Following patient feedback, the Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB) has provided extra funding for additional clinic hours. This means we can now offer hospital-requested blood tests again at Foundry.

You can book your hospital blood test at Foundry, or continue to use the hospital services shared below, whichever is easiest / quickest for you.

Local hospital sites are also expected to increase their capacity from the end of October, and we’ll update this page as soon as we know more.

In some urgent situations, we may be able to help if a hospital blood test is needed quickly.

If this happens, you must bring your hospital blood form. It must show:

• The name of your hospital clinician
• Which tests are needed
