When will I be given an appointment for my 2nd dose of vaccine?

Guidelines mean you will be offered an appointment for your 2nd dose of vaccine up to 12 weeks after the 1st.

We will contact you to book, most likely via the same contact method as your 1st vaccine. Please do not call the surgery.

Why have others had their 2nd vaccination after 3 weeks, when I am now having to wait up to 12 weeks?

Our first cohort of patients were offered two vaccines three weeks apart before the guidance changed; therefore it was appropriate to use clinical judgement and continue to offer this second vaccination.

Going forwards we will be using the national guidelines and offering one vaccine with second vaccine up to 12 weeks later in order to protect as many of our patents as quickly as we can. The supplies we are given will not enable us to deviate from this in any circumstances.
