Flu Vaccine 2025/26

Starting in October we will be offering the Winter Flu Vaccine to eligible Foundry patients.

We have begun sending invitations to our eligible patients. As per previous years, we ask that you wait for your invitation before contacting the practice to book.

We ask that you book via the link provided in your invitation SMS / Email. If you are not able to do this, please call after 11am to book so that our phone lines are kept clear for urgent calls.

Please wear a face covering to all appointments to prevent the spread of infection.

Who is Eligible

Patients eligible for the Autumn '25 Flu Vaccine include:

• All adults aged 65 years and over (including those who will be 65 by 31st March 2026)
• People with certain long-term health conditions
• Those who are Pregnant
• Those living in a care home
• Those living with someone who has a weakened immune system
• Those in receipt of carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk
• Front-line health and social care workers

Where can you get the Flu Vaccine

You can have your Free NHS Flu Vaccine at:

• Your GP surgery
• A pharmacy offering the service (for those 18yrs+)
• Your midwifery services if you are pregnant
• Your care home
• Your employer if you are a health or social care worker

How to book with Foundry

Invites will go out to patients as per previous years, in priority order.

You will most likely receive yours via:

SMS /Email - This will include a booking your appointment via our online system.
Letter - This will be to confirm your invite and to prompt you to call the practice. Please call after 11am, to keep our phone lines clear for urgent calls.

When not to attend / Cancelling an appointment

Do not attend your appointment if you are feeling unwell.

To cancel your appointment:

Call our automated phone service on 01273 480888. This is available 24/7!
Simply dial 01273 480888, select either Option 2 (when we are open) or Option 1 (when we are closed)

Provision for those with poor mobility to receive their vaccination

Housebound patients will be contacted and arrangements will be made.
