Like previous vaccine programmes, eligible patients will be invited in stages. You may not get your invite straight away, so please wait to be contacted.

When you receive your invitation by text or email, please use the booking link to book your vaccine.

If you cannot book online, please call us after 11am. This helps us keep our phone lines free for urgent calls.

Please do not call the surgery about your vaccine before you have received your invitation.

This year, our vaccine delivery is later than expected. Because of this, younger eligible patients are initially being asked to get their flu vaccine from a local pharmacy first.

Patients eligible for the Autumn '26 Flu Vaccine include:

• All adults aged 65 years and over (including those who will be 65 by 31st March 2027)
• People aged 18 - 64 and have certain long-term health conditions
• Those who are Pregnant
• Those living in a care home
• Those living with someone who has a weakened immune system
• Those in receipt of carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk
• Those experiencing homelessness or staying in a homeless hostel or night shelter.

Front-line health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.

You can have your Free NHS Flu Vaccine at:

• Your GP surgery - This year, our vaccine delivery is later than expected. Because of this, younger eligible patients are initially being asked to get their flu vaccine from a local pharmacy first.

• A pharmacy offering the service (for those 18yrs+)
• Your midwifery services if you are pregnant
• Your care home
• Your employer if you are a health or social care worker

Invites will go out to patients as in previous years, in priority order. Starting with our housebound patients and those over 75 years (eldest to youngest).

You will most likely receive yours via:

• SMS /Email - This will include a link to book your appointment via our online system.
• Letter - This will be to confirm your invite and to prompt you to call the practice. Please call after 11am, to keep our phone lines clear for urgent calls.

Do not attend your appointment if you are feeling unwell.
