Closure of the Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) Service

Notification to patients of a change in service for repeat prescriptions - please read carefully

We are making you aware that the NHS Sussex Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service is closing.


From 29th September 2023, you will no longer be able to order repeat prescriptions using the POD telephone service.


Foundry patients will therefore need to order their repeat prescriptions using one of these preferred methods:


• Via the NHS App or by logging into your NHS account at
Patients will need to have already signed up to our Online Services to use this feature in the NHS App.


• By submitting a request via Anima


• By completing our Prescription Request Form online


Patients already signed up to our online services, systmonline / Airmid, can continue to use these applications to request their medication.


If you are unable to use any of these methods please contact the practice on 01273 480888. Our team will be happy to discuss your options.


For medical legal reasons, where errors can occur in verbal communication, requests for repeat prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone.
