RSV Vaccine

RSV Vaccine

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of respiratory illness in the UK. It is particularly dangerous for infants and the elderly.

RSV can make people very ill. It can cause pneumonia and breathing problems in babies. Some people may need hospital care. This vaccine helps protect those most at risk and supports the NHS in winter.

If you are 28 or more weeks pregnant, talk to us or your maternity service to protect your baby. People aged 75 to 79 can also get the vaccine and should book now.

If you can have the vaccine, you do not need to wait for an invitation—please contact us to book. Invitations will still be sent by email, letter, or text as people become eligible. These will include booking instructions.

Wearing a face covering can help stop the spread of illness.
