You might receive an email from Patient Knows Best. This is a system used by the hospital laboratory that process your samples. You may receive this email before our clinician is available to review the result. As such, we ask that you wait to hear from us before contacting the practice.
Test results are reviewed by the clinician who requested them.
Results are then marked with one of the following:
Followed by an instruction, such as:
• No Further Action
• Need to speak to a doctor
• Appointment Needed
If needed, we will contact you to book a further appointment.
Test results for tests requested by your hospital specialist do not usually come to us. Your hospital team should contact you, unless otherwise advised.
